Current Staff consists of 9 students all getting their Master’s at North Eastern University working with 9 autistic children. Anyone with an outside Master’s would probably be hired in as a teacher. (at least for the first year) and move quickly to a
coordinator position, and finally as specialist. Very few people get
promoted as directors without a doctoral degree.

Very Skinnerian environment

They plan to be starting a Ph.D. program onsite, which may
be attractive to someone with a Masters.

Family Compass

My name is Dr. Moshe Shtuhl, I am a psychologist and the director of Family Compass, a private child psychology practice in Reston Virginia. We are currently providing intensive interventions for young children with autism and other developmental difficulties. Dr. Sharon Major, a BCBA, is on our staff. We use a variety of modalities to address the children's neuropsychological and developmental needs; including verbal-behavior, elements of ABA, emotionally-based interactions ("floor time"), other structured language curriculums, some elements of pediatric occupational therapy, etc.
Unfortunately, Dr. Major is leaving our practice in June and we are looking for a person with strong behavioral background, who is interested in the integration of approaches to best customize intervention to each child's needs. I believe that the work here is quite rewarding with significant opportunity for personal and professional growth.

I would greatly appreciate your guidance in regard to finding such a person. You could email me back at familycompass@aol.com, or call me at 703 471 5517 ext. 1. Also, feel free to forward this email to whoever might be interested.
